Mohammed Seddiq Al Menshawî (1920-1969) is one of the Egyptian recitors of quran; He was born in Al Minshat village in the Egyptian province of Souhag. At the age of eight, he finished the learning of the holy Koran. He is also a member of a family which is well known for its recitation.
Indeed, his father is the famous recitor Seddiq Al Minshawi and his brother is the Sheikh Mahmûd Siddiq Al Minshawi.
He became famous thanks to his wonderful voice and his mastery of Maqamat Al Qiraâ. He has a full record of Koran Mouratal and other records from Al Aqsaa mosque, in Kuwait, Syria and Libya.
Menchaoui had had four sons and two daughters from the first marriage, and five sons and four daughters from the second. His second wife passed away during her pilgrimage one year before her husband’s death.
He died because of Dawali Al Mariê disease. He remained faithful to the holy book until his death in 1969.
